Gary H. French has been involved in the roofing industry since February of 1973. Serving the industry as a laborer, foreman, superintendent, estimator, and Salesman in the contracting field prior to starting an Independent Manufacturer's Representative company in 1984. Representing a variety of products in a continually changing marketplace required the background forensic knowledge to accurately represent the advantages and misgivings of a given product performing within and in conjunction with numerous types of roofing systems.
Prior field experience and in-depth product manufacturing knowledge instilled trust and confidence with those professionals in the Architectural and Engineering markets required to specify high performance products that offer longer life expectancy, and reduce life cycle costs.
Wind, rain and temperature are the key elements to how a roof performs. Having gained a thorough working knowledge over the past 36 years of how these elements can impact a roof design, metal roofing has become my primary field of expertise. For the past 15 years I've been involved with the metal roofing segment of the roofing industry. Metal Roofing is the "green" roofing of the industry, and because of it's general overall category name, many individuals fail to understand the enormous depth of the metal roofing product market.
After coming to Florida from Upstate New York in 2004, and having witnessed several instances where metal roofing has been misrepresented by other professionals in the marketplace, I formed GFI Roofing Services LLC.

A Brief Company History:
I established GFI Roofing Services LLC in July 2007 primarily as a Roof Consulting business. During the previous 4 years, while partnering as an owner of Florida Metal Roofs Inc., I became increasingly aware of the need to better inform, educate, and advise the various public and professional segments of the S.W. Florida marketplace with regard to roof design, function, energy efficiency, life cycle costs, and the resulting economic impact that these issues have on the fiscal constraints of any given client.
Since 2007 I have expanded the scope of the company to include Project Management, and am now able to offer my years of industry experience not only in the planning stages of a project via consultation, but also during the execution of the project with a daily, onsite presence. GFI Roofing Services LLC is also licensed as a Certified Roofing Contractor for the State of Florida. Contracting Services are offered when requested by owners, and is done almost entirely through referrals.
